Today, I have planned a motorcycle ride westward towards the Pacific Ocean. There I will maneuver through traffic until finding open stretches of road smelling of salt and sand. None of my friends who ride can come so it is just going to be me and the music from my 2 GB MP3 player. There could not be anything more relaxing. Riding with friends usually ends up in aggressive maneuvers through traffic but with no one to keep up with, I’ll be able to just take it all in and hopefully pull into a restaurant within view of the ocean. I don’t imagine it will be extremely crowded because there is June gloom overcast around Los Angeles right now.
Open roads and music is the way to spend a June afternoon. The trick is positioning my 2 GB MP3 player in my pocket correctly so the headphone wire never gets tugged disconnecting the music. There is an art to getting headphones set right inside of a helmet. The motorcycle is much louder than my 2 GB MP3 player but I can still hear the beats even on the freeway.
