zune mp3 player, 2 gb mp3 playerHow does a person conquer 1,000 miles of open road in less than 24 hours? Endurance and stopping only for gas and the bathroom. This is the plan for an upcoming trip to a friend’s cabin. His family owns a small lofted cabin near a river fed by glacial run off up near the Canada border in Washington. We live in California so the drive there is in no sense of the word short. He has shown me pictures of the place. There is fishing, rafting, hiking and all sorts of other outdoor living activities out there. I was on board the second he asked if I wanted to go. We looked up plane tickets but since it was such short notice, they were a lot of money. It makes more sense from a financial standpoint to split gas and drive. That way we will have a mode of transportation up there too. It’s never fun having to wait on someone else just to get around.

With such a long drive ahead of us, I’ve been getting all of the in-car entertainment ready. The biggest thing will be the Zune MP3 player. My roommate bought his from Island Electronics at http://islandelectronicsplus.ispeedway.com/ in a discounted all in one package called the 8GB Zune Digital Multimedia Device with Accessories Kit which came with the player, case and car hook ups. I’ve already taken his Zune MP3 player and loaded on road trip worthy tracks. There is everything from Ted Nugent to the song you hear above.  Any song that goes with the adventure is welcome. I have a 2 GB MP3 player for backup music.

I’ve been on long road trips like this before and it is always amazing how much music a person can go through. His Zune MP3 player has thousands of songs and my 2 GB MP3 player has a solid list of driving classics so we should be covered in this department. We will just need energy drinks, water, food and music and I bet we can get there in 18 hours. Traveling without a Zune MP3 player or any MP3 player for that matter is frowned upon if you ask me. Music carries the spirit and helps time fly by. All we will have is time on this drive up. It is going to be an experience of the summer. Zune MP3 player, two dudes and a mission to drive one thousand miles in a single sitting. It is all the makings for a memorable adventure.
